I came here with my aunt. I had carne asada tacos and she has the chicken tamale plate. I enjoyed my tacos , and she said her plate was spicy. I tried hers and it was not spicy to me at all. Next time I'll get that plate it was delicious. The owner was nice as well!
*five stars purely for the interaction with the pushy owner. Don't bother looking at the menu. The only way to unlock it is by buying his off the menu super duper duper tamale for an unknown price. This guy uses high pressure sales technique that is so absurd - it's funny. "Have you been here before? I'm going to change your life! We have three tamales, with rice and beans with avocado on top. The super tamale, the super duper tamale, and the super duper duper tamale. The super is 1 meat, super duper 2, and the super duper duper 3 meats." Fine give me two of those. Throw in two tacos and two diet Cokes. I hand him my card and he doesn't give me a receipt. Stopped looking me in the eye the moment I paid him. The meal could be $60, $100, or $2,000! Who knows! Little does he know, I'm about to change his life! It's called a charge back! Honestly I couldn't tell if I had 1 meat, 2 meats, or 3 meats under all that. The funniest part is sitting there with my friend and listening to this guy's same pitch to some lady. They argued back and forth before he let her buy some damn tacos. He said he would lose a hundred dollar for every regular tamale he sells her - pure gold! It's wild he's willing to ruin his reputation over selling tamales. At least a slimy car salesman is making thousands of dollars on a sale. This dude here is willing to risk it all for $30. And for that - 5 stars!!!!
I recently tried this tamale spot and it was DELICIOUS!! The plate is huge and PACKED with FLAVOR! The SALSA is bomb asf you can just tell the beautiful green coloring and how thick it is! I must say tho my FAVORITE things was the TACO DE LENGUA it was cooked on the parrilla and the flavor with off the hook def had a good spice to it I have never tried it like that before and it didn't disappoint! My order was taken by the owner who happily greeted me, his energy is very up lifting!! He told us about the restaurant and the food and answered all my silly questions! If you like some good flava check it out!!
I saw this place on a social media platform and decided to go check it out. The place is small with a neighborhood comfort food style feel. Upon entering, we were greeted by a very cheerful guy who knew it was our first time there and promised we'd be amazed. I love good hospitality! He offered the 3 meat tamale, and I agreed to try it. For the meat, I chose carnitas, pollo, and carne asada. While it was very flavorful as a whole. My personal favorite out of the three meats was the carnitas! It was full of flavor and tender. Of course, I will be back for a full carnitas tamale!
